Course description English compact C1

The compact C1 English course gets you closer to C1.1 and C1.2 English. Study carefully chosen complex English language structures three times a week and use them in listening, reading, writing, and speaking tasks. Learn to express yourself in English with style on many topics, including your area of expertise, and broaden your vocabulary. Develop the ability to understand, use, and delight in the metaphorical and idiomatic language often found in literature and poetry, among other text types. Additionally, practice identifying differences in tone in the Language Lab*, and use prosody, word stress, and intonation expertly to communicate specific information. *Online participation is also possible on request. In the case of online course participation, the phonetics units in the LcL language laboratory are omitted.
