German - Practical Grammar A

Course description

This grammar course at the language level A teaches German grammar for A1-level and A2-level learners as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Twice a week for 2x60 mins., you’re introduced to the foundational grammar rules most useful to you at the A-level. Your knowledgeable instructor helps you practice these rules in simple communication exercises and corrects them with you in the course.

Be introduced to word categories and functions: articles, pronouns, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, particles, question words, number words; gender, number, and case

Learn sentence structure: word order in simple sentences, punctuation, and meaning differences

Understand syntax: Form simple sentences with grammar you’ve learned in the course

Explore the intersection between German spelling, orthography, and pronunciation

Practice with written and spoken exercises
