German for Law and Administration B2/C1

Communicate accurately in legal and administrative contexts

This 4-week course is designed for international lawyers, legal trainees, administrative staff, and students of law who want to master professional German for legal and bureaucratic settings. You will learn how to express legal content with precision, reproduce judgments and statutes correctly, and communicate clearly in administrative contexts.

The focus lies on the linguistic tools of the law: from contracts, legal capacity, and rescission to administrative procedures and official documents. You will practice drafting legal opinions, reports, and formal correspondence in a clear and structured way, while strengthening your oral communication skills for negotiations, hearings, and professional meetings.

Through practical examples and hands-on exercises, you will develop a strong command of German legal language. You will learn to present complex matters with clarity, avoid overly complicated sentence structures, and maintain a precise, professional style. This will give you the linguistic confidence required for studies, legal clerkship, and everyday practice in legal or administrative professions.
